Akylbek Japarov confirms readiness to promote relations with Malaysia

On July 3, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov met with Foreign Minister of Malaysia Zambry Abdul Kadir. The interlocutors focused on intensifying bilateral trade, economic, tourism, social, humanitarian and environmental cooperation, the press office of the Cabinet of Ministers reported to CentralAsia.news.

Zhaparov noted the work of the Intergovernmental Commission that is one of the effective tools to promote Kyrgyzstan-Malaysia cooperation, expressing hope that, through joint efforts, the countries will be able to achieve great progress for the benefit of the two peoples.

The Kyrgyz politician emphasised the readiness to expand mutually beneficial partnerships with Malaysia in all priority areas, in particular the exchange of experience in the cultural and humanitarian spheres and the principles of Islamic finance.

The Minister confirmed the readiness to build up bilateral relations and expressed hope that his visit to Bishkek and fruitful high-level meetings would give a new impetus to promote partnerships between the two countries.
