The delegation of Gansu province of the People’s Republic of China visited the embassy of Turkmenistan in PRC. The Minister of Publicity of the administrative district Zhang Yongxia invited the Turkmen representatives to take part in the 6th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo. This was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the MFA of Turkmenistan.
The Central Asian country will become an honored guest of the exhibition. The event will be held in Dunhuang in August-September this year.
The Minister of Publicity of Gansu Province noted that the Great Silk Road has enriched the cultural and historical ties of the respective peoples. The Ambassador of Turkmenistan, in turn, told the delegates about the socio-economic development, energy, transport and logistics potential of the Central Asian country, and also presented the guests with copies of the book «The Spiritual World of Turkmens» by Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, translated into Chinese.
The exhibition is an important platform for demonstrating the achievements and progress of China’s Belt and Road Initiative The event is a strategic platform for cultural exchanges and development of cooperation between the countries participating in the the program.
