Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Tokyo Atadurdy Bayramov met with the Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Yuumi Yoshikawa. The diplomat announced the readiness of the Central Asian country to organize a visit of the foreign official to Ashgabat. This was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the MFA of Turkmenistan.
The parties noted that the cooperation between the states has demonstrated effectiveness at the bilateral and multilateral levels. They paid particular attention to the importance of strengthening ties between Ashgabat and Tokyo in politics, trade, economy, culture, as well as in the humanitarian sphere.
Atadurdy Bayramov and Yuumi Yoshikawa underlined the expediency of holding political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Turkmenistan and Japan.
Last year the countries celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The officials of the states stressed that Ashgabat and Tokyo have made significant progress in expanding the mutually beneficial partnership.
