On June 21, Head of Sughd Region of Tajikistan Rajabboy Ahmadzoda met with a Russian delegation led by Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach. The Russian side noted that Russian businessmen are seeking to promote cooperation with Tajik entrepreneurs, the press office of the Sughd Region Administration reported to CentralAsia.news.
Ahmadzoda noted that Sughd Region of Tajikistan has ample opportunities. It boosts mutually beneficial partnerships with the regions of Russia. Last year, trade between Sughd Region and the regions of the Russian Federation stood at over $600 million. He noted that the partners have many untapped opportunities.
The business circles and interested companies of the Russian Federation were invited to contribute to the implementation of projects and the construction of industrial, processing, packaging, mining and metallurgical, textile and other enterprises.
Volvach emphasised that the main aim of the visit of the Russian delegation to Tajikistan is to strengthen relations between entrepreneurs of the two countries.
