With the onset of summer holidays, employees of the Kostanay Region Department of Emergency Situations conduct classes on the basic safety rules for schoolchildren, who are spending their holidays at summer school camps and playgrounds, the press office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reported.
Safety specialists have visited several schools in the region and held conversations with children and teenagers about the importance of following the rules of nature safety during the school holidays.
Particular attention was paid to the rules of water safety. Employees of the Kostanay Region Department of Emergency Situations told how important for children to be supervised by adults or older brothers and sisters and take precautions while recreating on the banks of water bodies.
Schoolchildren learned about the basic fire safety rules in the forest. Rescuers talked about how to avoid forest and steppe fires in the summer, explained the actions to be taken when wildfires are detected and provided emergency contact numbers of rescue services.
Leaflets and brochures on safety were distributed among participants of the lectures.
