The Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Aksoltan Ataeva and the head of the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to the UN Dennis Francis signed a joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. The ambassadors agreed to make efforts to increase cooperation between Turkmenistan and Trinidad and Tobago in politics, economy and culture. They paid special attention to the importance of deepening collaboration within the UN.
Atayeva stressed that the priorities of the permanent representative of the republic to the United Nations coincide with the priorities of Turkmenistan. She also noted that she is ready to provide the necessary assistance in their implementation.
Francis, in turn, drew attention to the fact that the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries will have a positive impact on expanding the bilateral partnerships.
