On June 19, Tajikistan-South Korea Investment took place in Dushanbe on the initiative of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of Tajikistan, in cooperation with the Embassy of South Korea. The forum showcased the economic potential of the industrial, energy, tourism and banking sectors and the investment climate of Tajikistan, the Khovar National News Agency reported.
«The main objectives of the forum are to attract Korean investors and entrepreneurs to Tajikistan’s economy, boost cooperation in priority economic areas, present the investment climate and potential of the country, expand bilateral trade relations and set up industrial enterprises in Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea,» Chairman of the State Investment Committee Saadi Kodirzoda said.
The participants focused on expanding trade and economic partnerships, enhancing bilateral cooperation in the industrial, energy and tourism sectors, attracting capital, encouraging entrepreneurship and setting up joint industrial ventures.
The forum provided a platform for bilateral B2B talks and the signing of documents on partnerships between the investment and business circles of the two countries.
