Minister of Agriculture of Tajikistan Kurbon Khakimzoda met with Regional Director of the Near East, North Africa and Europe Division at the International Fund for Agricultural Development Dina Saleh and IFAD Country Director Roberto Longo. The parties discussed the promotion of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of joint project, the Khovar National News Agency reported.
The Minister informed the guests about the development of Tajikistan’s agricultural sector, current relations with the International Fund and the progress of the implementation of the Agricultural Support Project aimed at promoting agriculture in the country.
Khakimzoda said the community-based project is being implemented successfully. The total cost project is $100 million.
The Ministry of Agriculture, the Committee for Environmental Protection and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations are the partners under the Agricultural Support Project.
