The Children’s Eye Centre at City Polyclinic 23 opened for young residents of Alatau district of Almaty, the Almaty Department of Public Health reported to CentralAsia.news.
Children with various eye diseases can receive free consultative, diagnostic and therapeutic care at the new centre. 2,135 children in Alatau district have various eye diseases.
Previously, patients were sent to the Republican Diagnostic Centre. Henceforth they will get necessary assistance and care at City Polyclinic 23. The Centre is stuffed with modern equipment to detect and treat various eye diseases Physicians have intraocular pressure tonometers, a device for the early detection of glaucoma and a strabismus cure device at their disposal.
The opening ceremony of the Centre took place as part of the solemn event — the 10th anniversary of City Polyclinic 23.
