On June 15, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov met with Minister of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan. The interlocutors discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in education and science and considered expanding the regulatory and legal framework, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The interlocutors focused on the progress of the implementation of the protocol of the 3rd meeting of the Kyrgyzstan-Saudi Arabia Committee for Cooperation, which was held in Riyadh in November last year.
They discussed further steps to implement the Memorandum of Partnership in Education and Science between the Ministries of Education of the two states, which was signed in 2019. In this context, the Saudi side emphasised the importance of cooperation between the education and science departments of the two countries to further expand interstate relations.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to conduct an online meeting soon to step up the implementation of the bilateral agreements.
The Kyrgyz diplomat invited the Minister of Education to visit Kyrgyzstan at any convenient time.
