Moscow hosts exhibition about Kyrgyzstan

An exhibition on the tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan was arranged at VDNH in Moscow as part of the Russia’s largest Puteshestvuy Tourism Forum. Visitors to the exhibition had an opportunity to learn about the tourist attractions of the Republic, as well as enjoy Kyrgyz cuisine, take part in national games, buy souvenirs and book a holiday trip to Kyrgyzstan, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

The exhibition provided a platform for business talks between representatives of travel companies of Kyrgyzstan and their counterparts from Russia. According to a representative of the Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic, trips to Issyk-Kul will be in stable demand among Russian tourists in the summer of 2023, as in in previous years.

In anticipation of the holiday season, two Russian airlines announced the launch of direct flights from Moscow to Issyk-Kul. These flights began operating in April-May, which is earlier than a year ago.

Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Vakhrukov and Advisor to the Chairman of the Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic Maksat Usubaliev spoke at the opening ceremony of the Puteshestvuy Forum. He emphasised that earlier Russian citizens preferred a beach holiday in Issyk-Kul, now adventure tourism, including mountaineering, rock climbing, horseback riding, visiting ancient fortresses and climbing the high peaks of the Tien Shan, is becoming increasingly popular.
