The capital of Turkmenistan hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference: «Energy Prospects, New Technologies for the Development of Hydrocarbon Deposits». The event took place at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, as reported by the electronic newspaper NEBIT-GAZ.
A total of 800 delegates from 20 countries took part in the event. Among them were the heads of Turkmen and foreign oil and gas companies, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, international organizatios and scientific centers, teachers and students.
They discussed the use of new technologies in the development of oil and gas fields, the reduction of methane and carbon dioxide emissions within the related production, the monetization of deposits, the financing of the fuel and energy complex aimed at protection of the environment, the development of initiatives to promote clean energy, and the optimization of the extraction of hydrocarbon resources.
An exhibition of the mentioned university took place within the framework of the conference. A cultural program included folk dances and singing.
