On June 13, First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan Mahmadali Vatanzoda held talks with Ambassador of Pakistan to Tajikistan Muhammad Saeed. The talks focused on the current state and prospects for expanding bilateral mutually beneficial relations, the Khovar News Agency reported.
Discussing the prospects for promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, the interlocutors noted the importance of galvanising the activities of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Groups of Dushanbe and Islamabad.
The interlocutors expressed belief that bilateral relations are being filled with new content in all areas of mutual interest and will cover many areas of mutual interests in the near future through continuous high-level dialogues.
As was reported, Tajikistan and Pakistan agreed to hold expanded consultations of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group on topical issues of regional peace and security and highly evaluated its activities.
