Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov met with his counterpart from Cuba Manuel Marrero Cruz in Russia. The interlocutors discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation, focusing on the pharmaceutical and tourism industries, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.
Zhaparov informed the Prime Minister of Cuba about the goals and objectives of the Kyrgyzpharmacy State Enterprise. He noted that the enterprise is establishing partnerships with foreign medicine and medical device manufacturers. Zhaparov noted that Kyrgyzstan has rich natural and environmental resources to promote tourism.
Manuel Marrero Cruz said Cuba is going to intensify cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the above industries. Zhaparov invited his counterpart to visit Bishkek. The interlocutors highlighted the need to increase bilateral trade.
The meeting between the heads of government took place on the sidelines of the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Sochi.
