On June 8, Minister of Health of Kazakhstan Azhar Giniyat met with General Director of GE Healthcare in Russia and the CIS Elena Legezina to discuss the prospects of cooperation, the press office of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The interlocutors discussed the issues of particular importance for Kazakhstan’s healthcare sector, including the possibility of localizing medical device manufacturing.
The interlocutors agreed to open a GE Academy at one of the medical universities in Kazakhstan, which woukd ensure a more efficient use of equipment installed.
It is also planned to adopt GE Healthcare AI-powered digital management solutions for patient data, images and medical content. This will improve diagnostic quality and accuracy.
