On June 5, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan met with a delegation of the Turkish company Eti Bakyr Tereksai, headed by Chairman of the Board of Directors Seref Cengiz. The interlocutors discussed the aspects and progress of the joint venture, in particular compliance with environmental requirements and social obligations, the press office of the Government reported to CentralAsia.news.
The Turkish side expressed gratitude to the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan for supporting its operations on the Terekkan, Perevalny and Terek deposits.
The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, Eti Bakir JSC and Eti Bakyr Tereksai LLC signed an investment agreement to promote the implementation of the development projects on the Terekkan, Perevalny and Terek deposits.
Following the talks, specific tasks were set to the departments, government agencies and local authorities.
The Terek-Sai mine is located in Terek-Sai village of Chatkal district, Jalal-Abad Region. More than 500 people work at the enterprise.
