The Agency on Statistics of Tajikistan reported that the number of people unemployed in the Republic has decreased, Sputnik reports.
According to the Ministry of Labour, Migration and Employment, as of February 2023, the number of officially unemployed reached in the Republic 51,200 people. This is 5.6 percent less than in February 2022. The unemployment rate stood at 2 percent. Women make up 49.3 percent of the total number of people unemployed in Tajikistan.
The supporting factors that influence employment include job fairs and the opening of new social, economic and industrial facilities which create new jobs.
In 2022, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug topped the rating of regions of the Russian Federation that have the highest proportion of migrant workers.
