President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov spoke on phone with the head of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. They exchanged congratulations on the 78th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. The Russian leader invited his colleague to take part in the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow, as reported by «Turkmenistan today».
Vladimir Putin invited Serdar Berdimuhamedov to attend the festivities scheduled to be held in the capital of the Russian Federation on the occasion of the corresponding holiday. The president of Turkmenistan thanked the head of the friendly state for the invitation.
Berdimuhamedov noted that the Central Asian country, as well as Russia, sacredly honors the memory of those who defended the borders of their homeland from the enemy and selflessly worked on the home front in 1941-1945. According to him, the state pays special attention to care for war veterans.
The president of Turkmenistan also thanked Vladimir Putin for his contribution to the development of cooperation between Ashgabat and Moscow.
