On May 5, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness and French Nationals Abroad Olivier Becht held talks in Tashkent. The interlocutors considered stepping up the implementation of projects in the trade, economic, investment and financial sectors jointly with French companies and organisations, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the progress in implementing strategic green energy projects, improving tourism infrastructure and utility networks and the mining sector and other significant areas.
It was noted that French business companies becoming increasingly interested in the implementation of projects in urban development, transport, the light industry and the production of new types of high-quality building materials.
The President welcomed the plans to set up an Uzbekistan-France Chamber of Commerce and introduce an effective business proposal software.
