President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid the first official visit to the UK. There he took part in the coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as king and queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. The leader of the Central Asian country personally met with the monarch, "Turkmenistan today" reports.First of all, Berdimuhamedov congratulated Charles III on behalf of the Turkmen people and the government. He expressed strong confidence in the further development of interstate cooperation.
The new British monarch, in turn, stressed that he fondly recalled his visit to Turkmenistan. According to him, the partnership between Ashgabat and London will be expanded.
One of the key vectors of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UK is the fuel and energy sector. The Central Asian state has enormous hydrocarbon potential. The United Kingdom also shows great interest in importing products of the chemical, textile and light industries of Turkmenistan.
