Mirziyoyev and Lukashenko agree to step up implementation of joint projects

On May 4, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko. The interlocutors discussed measures to step up the implementation of joint projects and ensure the dynamic development of trade cooperation, the press office of President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The leaders of the two states noted with satisfaction the consistent development of mutually beneficial bilateral partnerships. They also noted that bilateral events marking the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations are taking place these days, and bilateral trade and the number of joint ventures are growing.

The two leaders exchanged views on the timely implementation of joint industrial cooperation projects in the mechanical engineering, pharmaceutical, agro-industrial, electrical engineering and other sectors in compliance with the roadmap. They emphasised the need to hold a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and bolster interregional exchanges to step up the implementation of these projects.
