Tajikistan-Turkey trade exceeds $351 million in 2022

Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda held talks with the newly appointed diplomatic representative of Turkey in Dushanbe Umut Acar. The interlocutors stated that bilateral trade reached $351.2 million last year, the press office of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade reported to CentralAsia.news.

It was emphasised that in January-March this year, commodity turnover between Tajikistan and Turkey reached $98.4 million. It increased by 17.3 percent, or $14.5 million compared to the same period in 2022.

The Minister of Economic Development and Trade invited Turkish investors to invest in joint industrial ventures that would produce textiles, detergents, building materials and food products and process aluminium, wool, leather, fruits and vegetables. The Ambassador positively evaluated this proposal.

The interlocutors discussed the progress of the implementation of the roadmap to increase trade in 2022-2025.
