Prime Minister of Kazakhstan pays working visit to capital city of Iran

On April 27, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov had a meeting with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi during his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the press office of the Government of Kazakhstan reports.

Conveying greetings to the President of Iran from the leader of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, Alikhan Smailov noted that Kazakhstan views cooperation with Iran as its priority vector.

The Prime Minister noted that the governments of Kazakhstan and Iran are working towards implementing the agreements reached earlier. With the aim of building up bilateral cooperation, the Kazakhstan-Iran Working Group on Agriculture will hold its first meeting in Tehran this year, and a special trade representative at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Iran will be appointed.

The Chairman of the Government of Kazakhstan and the President of Iran exchanged views on the prospects for bolstering trade, economic and investment cooperation, cross-border interaction and cultural and humanitarian partnerships.
