On April 25, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Ermukhambet Konuspayev met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sodik Imomi, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
The participants exchanged views on the current state and prospects for building up bilateral cooperation, as well as preparations for the upcoming visit of President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Kazakhstan.
The Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs highly evaluated the current level of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian partnerships between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. They positively evaluated the outcomes of the 17th meeting of the Kazakhstan-Tajikistan Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation, which was held in Astana on April 24.
The interlocutors discussed specific issues of regional and international politics, as well as cooperation in a multilateral format.
They confirmed the mutual readiness to build up multifaceted strategic cooperation based on mutual respect and friendship.
