In Milton Keynes (a city in the southeast of Great Britain), the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United Kingdom Yazmurat Seryaev gave a presentation of the «smart» Turkmen city Arkadag. The event was attended by representatives of the administration of Milton Keynes. As part of the presentation, photos with detailed information about Arkadag were shown. Attention was paid to the progress of work carried out in the «smart» city.
Employees of the local executive body, in turn, spoke about the history of the «smart» city Milton Keynes. The head of the municipal administration council Peter Marland noted that they are cooperating with similar cities in other countries. He stressed that British officials are interested in visiting Turkmenistan.
Arkadag city is located 30 kilometers away from the capital of the Central Asian country. It is designed to accommodate about 70 thousand people. Almost 1.5 billion US dollars have been allocated for the implementation of the project.
