President of Kazakhstan meets with Prime Minister of Czech Republic

On April 24, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev met with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, who arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reports.

The interlocutors discussed the prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic and investment sectors, as well as some issues of regional and international politics.

President Tokayev expressed hope that the current visit of the Czech Prime Minister to Kazakhstan will contribute to intensifying bilateral cooperation in key areas. He also congratulated President of Czechia Petr Pavel on his re-election.

Discussing the prospects of Kazakhstan-Czechia partnerships, President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan is ready to support Czech investors willing to contribute to the implementation of joint projects in the energy, transport, engineering, agricultural, pharmaceutical and financial sectors. The Kazakh leader also expressed hope that direct flights would be launched in the near future.

Petr Fiala emphasised that the Czech Republic views Kazakhstan as its key partner among the Central Asian countries.
