Educational institutions throughout Kyrgyzstan will enhance measures to ensure safety and security of schoolchildren and teaching and administrative staffs. The Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan issued the relevant order, the press office of the Ministry reported to CentralAsia.news.
The document was issued to respond to growing security threats to educational institutions. With the aim to prevent emergencies, meetings with teachers, schoolchildren and their parents will be held. They will also be trained to provide first aid. Measures will be taken to tighten access control for citizens and transport and modernise the evacuation and emergency alert systems.
Educational institutions will develop an emergency action plan and improve the performance of CCTV cameras. Particular attention will be paid to checking the reliability of primary firefighting equipment and improving emergency exits to ensure that everyone can exit the building in the event of a fire or other emergency.
Earlier, a series of webinars on bullying and violence prevention at educational institutions was held for teachers, head teachers and psychologists of secondary and secondary vocational schools in Kyrgyzstan.
