Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Zhurabek Mirzamakhmudov received Ambassador of Japan to Uzbekistan Takashi Hatori to discuss further deepening mutually beneficial partnerships in all areas of mutual interest, in particular in the energy sector, the press office of the Ministry reported to CentralAsia.news.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the projects aimed at ensuring stable power supply to newly built industrial facilities, introducing modern technologies to modernise power plants and improving electricity and heat supply to consumers.
Noting the importance of promoting relations in the energy sector, the Japanese side said Sumitomo, Isuzu, Mitsui and other major companies are ready to deepen trade and economic contacts with Uzbek partners.
The Uzbek Minister expressed his readiness to make every effort to implement the existing great potential for further expanding bilateral cooperation.
