On April 18, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda took part in the first online meeting of the ministers of foreign economic activity and foreign trade of China and the Central Asian countries. The main aim of the meeting was to seek opportunities to boost interaction, increase trade, attract investment and set up joint ventures, the press office of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade reported to CentralAsia.news.
The Tajik politician put forward specific proposals for the expansion of bilateral and multilateral partnerships in the trade, economy, investment, transport, logistics and road and rail construction sectors. In this context, special attention was paid to the plans to build an electric car plant in Tajikistan, the implementation of the Green Economy and Digital Economy projects, the creation of technology parks, digital technologies, hydropower plants and the introduction of the e-commerce system.
Following the online meeting, the parties expressed readiness to bolster cooperation and address the issues discussed at the meeting.
