Youth in Kazakhstan to be assisted in finding jobs

The Government of Kazakhstan has decided to support young people of the NEET category — those who are not in employment, education or training, the press office of the Prime Minister reported to CentralAsia.news.

In accordance with the Resolution, assistance in employment, as well as other forms of support will be provided to young people. The Resolution was adopted to enhance the state youth policy of Kazakhstan.

In Kazakhstan, 6.3 percent of young people are NEET, which is low compared to other countries: Russia, Italy, the US and the UK.

The document states that the Ministry of Labour will help young people find employment, and the Ministry of Culture will involve young people in training and leisure activities.

The Resolution sets forth the qualification profiles for youth specialists, the regulations on the creation of youth labour groups and the introduction of a youth development index.
