The Committee of Tourism Development held a meeting in the capital of Tajikistan to review the work done in the first quarter of 2023. It was noted that the Republic has taken a prominent place in the world tourism rankings, the press office of the Committee of Tourism Development of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
Tajikistan was included in the rankings based on the assessment by the authoritative international media organisations. Chairman of the Committee Kamoliddin Muminzod noted that this was achieved through promoting a wide range of tourism opportunities in the country abroad.
Last year, presentations of the capacities and development potential of Tajikistan’s tourism sector took place with the support of the Government of the Republic in Germany, Russia, the UK and the USA.
In the future, the Committee is planning to expand its work to promote medical, environmental and mountaineering tourism in Tajikistan, build a tourist infrastructure that meets international standards and increase human resource capacity.
