On April 17, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a meeting on the development of Almaty and Almaty Region with the key state bodies, the press office of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
The participants reported on the fulfilment of the instructions given by the President during his visit to Almaty in March this year to support domestic producers, implement budget projects, develop an integrated development plan of the Altynkol railway station and ensure seismic safety of the city and region.
The high-ranking officials reported on the measures taken to develop a network of wholesale distribution and trade and logistics centres and design an integrated development master plan of Almaty and the region and the results of a large-scale seismic audit and put forward the proposals to improve seismic safety of the city.
The participants discussed the expansion of the industrial zone, the construction of new additional education facilities, the use of water conservation technologies in the agricultural sector and the prospects for involving domestic producers to implement the Comfort School project.
