Mirziyoyev and Berdimuhamedov consider creating Shavat-Dashoguz trade zone

On April 15, Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with his Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The leaders of the two countries discussed further development of bilateral cooperation in accordance with the high-level agreements, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

Mirziyoyev extended his deep condolences and words of sympathy to Berdimuhamedov over the heavy loss — the death of his grandmother Ogulabat eje Berdimuhamedova.

The interlocutors focused on key aspects of trade and economic cooperation, in particular the creation of the Shavat-Dashoguz border trade zone, the implementation of joint projects in priority economic vectors and the promotion of cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

They noted with satisfaction the fruitful results of the recent meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the talks between by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, the Ministries of Transport, the Ministries of Culture and other events.

The two leaders discussed the schedule of upcoming events and exchanged congratulations and warm wishes on the upcoming Ramazon Hayit holiday.
