Deputy Prime Minister Kulginov visits schools in Kyzylorda Region

On April 14, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Altay Kulginov made a working trip to Kyzylorda Region, where he inspected the current situation at the schools in an emergency condition, the press office of the Government Kazakhstan reported.

There are 6 schools in an emergency condition in the region, and classes are conducted in three shifts at 6 schools more. One of these schools is located in Zhanseit village, Shieli district. The school building with 6 rooms has no gym, canteen and assembly hall. The condition of the school building, built in 1979, does not meet the standards. The school building in neighbouring Baisyn village was built a hundred years ago. It doesn’t meet the requirements set to educational institutions.

Along the poor condition of the school buildings, Kyzylorda Region is facing the shortage of places in kindergartens and the problem in providing children with hot lunches.16 schools need major repairs, and 12 schools have no gym in the region.

Altay Kulginov noted that the Comfortable School National Project that will be launched this year will address the problem of the poor condition of schools and the shortage of places in preschool institutions. The project also envisages constructing 5 schools in Kyzylorda Region, including one specialising in physics and mathematics.
