Foreign ministers of Tajikistan and Belarus sign plan of consultations for 2023-2024

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergei Aleinik signed a plan of consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2023-2024. The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus reproted to CentralAsia.news.

The parties considered enhancing cooperation in the trade, economy, industrial and humanitarian sectors and within international organisations.

The Ambassador of Belarus focused on mutually respectful and mutually trusting relations between the leaders of the Republics Emomali Rahmon and Alexander Lukashenko. The foreign ministers highlighted the importance of implementing the agreements reached following the official visit of the President of Belarus to Dushanbe in October last year.

The parties confirmed their readiness to continue to build up multifaceted interstate cooperation based on the principles of strategic partnerships.
