Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Korea Aida Ismailova met with T’way Air CEO Jeong Hong-geun. The interlocutors discussed the launch of direct flights between the two countries, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported on April 13.
The T’way Air CEO noted that the first direct flight from the Republic of Korea to Kyrgyzstan is planned to be launched on June 11, 2023.
The company has purchased the Boeing 737 aircrafts to operate direct flights to Kyrgyzstan. T’way is currently finalizing the relevant operating procedures.
The Ambassador noted that the Kyrgyz side is interested in launching direct flights and ready to provide comprehensive assistance, adding that the launch of direct flights between the countries would give impetus to political, economic, cultural and humanitarian contacts.
Ismailova invited the T’way CEO to visit Kyrgyzstan in the near future to start direct flights.
