Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan meets with Yakutia delegation

On April 12, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin met with First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha of the Russian Federation Kirill Bychkov, who led a delegation of Yakutia to Kazakhstan, the press office of the Government of Kazakhstan reported.

The parties discussed important aspects of trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Sakha of the Russian Federation. The Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted that trade between Kazakhstan and the largest subject of the Russian Federation is developing dynamically. Last year, the commodity turnover increased almost 55 times and reached about $78 million. Minister Zhumangarin said Kazakhstan has started direct supplies of new industrial goods to Yakutia and plans to export 180 more items worth about $1 billion.

Kazakhstan imports precious metals, processing industry equipment, veterinary drugs, auto spare parts, sports equipment and other goods from Yakutia.

Informing that Kazakhstan is developing a unified strategy to set up cross-border hubs, Minister Zhumangarin invited the representatives of the Republic of Sakha to cooperate in implementing this large-scale project.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha stressed that Yakutia is interested to build up trade and economic partnerships with Kazakhstan and ready to offer its services in the production of a veterinary vaccine and cooperate in implementing projects in agriculture, manufacturing, energy and housing and communal services.
