Ambassador of Turkmenistan Atajan Movlamov met with Muhammad Afzal, rector of COMSATS University Islamabad. The parties discussed issues of enhancing cooperation between the relevant higher educational institution and the universities of the Central Asian country. Emphasis was placed on the importance of establishing cooperation in science and within research exchanges. Representatives of COMSATS presented information about the programs of the university, scientific work and achievements of the educational institution.
The meeting participants noted the importance of organizing joint events. A presentation of the international activities of Turkmenistan, information on the construction of the «smart city» Arkadag in the Central Asian state was held as well.
Currently, over 33,100 Pakistani citizens and 360 international students study more than 100 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs at COMSATS.
