Dushanbe hosted the two-day forum «Russian language is the foundation for the development of an educational space in Russia and Tajikistan». The forum brought together Russian language teachers. The event was organised by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of Tajikistan and the Altai State Pedagogical University, the press office of the RF Embassy reported to CentralAsia.news.
The forum took place at Yu. A. Gagarin Russian School as part of the Year of the Russian Language in the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
RF Ambassador Semyon Grigoriev noted that the Russian language in Tajikistan has the status of the language of interethnic communication at the legislative level, emphasising that President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon pays special attention to developing and promoting the Russian language.
The forum included panel discussions, master classes for teachers and presentations on project-based learning technologies. The participants also discussed interactive teaching methods in contemporary school education.
