On April 6, Minister of Natural Resources of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov and CEO of the UAE company Beeah Group Khaled Al Huraimel discussed the possibilities of using the Zero Waste model in Uzbekistan, introducing digital waste management solutions and transforming garbage dumps into modern eco-friendly landfills, the press office of the Ministry reported to CentralAsia.news.
The Zero waste concept refers to maximising waste-free processing, reducing waste and preventing environmental pollution.
Khaled Al Huraimel said he is interested in the Uzbek market and ready to further develop joint solutions to set up a sustainable waste management system in Uzbekistan.
Given the company’s expertise in implementing the Zero Waste model, the Uzbek side expressed its readiness to establish mutually beneficial partnerships on key issues in Uzbekistan, including conversion of scrap tyres, batteries and biowaste into energy.
