Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan extends simplified visa regime for 11 countries

On April 6, Chairman of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which 10 issues were discussed, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

As part of the planned visa liberalisation measures to facilitate the entry to   Kyrgyzstan of guests from neighbouring and remote countries, optimize the provision of visa services and boost the growth in Kyrgyzstan’s investment sector, the cabinet ministers decided to extend the simplified visa regime for 11 foreign states that have a valid residence permit (resident card).

These countries include the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar, the State of Brunei Darussalam, the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The participants of the government meeting approved the Standard Regulations on the Basin Council. The Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision noted that Basin Councils would be established in Kyrgyzstan for the first time.
