President of Kazakhstan meets with Special Representative of President of France

On April 6, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received Special Representative of President of France Emmanuel Macron Isabelle Dumont, who conveyed a message to the leader of Kazakhstan from the President of the French Republic, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reports.

An exchange of views on the current state and prospects of strategic cooperation between the two states took place during the meeting. President Tokayev stressed that Kazakhstan considers France one of the key political and trade partners among European countries. France is the first member state of the European Union to sign a strategic partnership agreement with Kazakhstan in 2008.

Kazakhstan and France are promoting trade and economic partnerships; 170 enterprises with the share of French capital and the largest French manufacturing companies operate in Kazakhstan.

In response to the message of Emmanuel Macron, President Tokayev conveyed his best wishes to the President of France and an invitation to visit Kazakhstan, which will give a new impetus to bilateral cooperation. Kazakhstan is ready to provide all possible support to French businesses on its territory.

Isabelle Dumont noted that France strongly supports ongoing political and socio-economic reforms in Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan’s position on a number of issues of international politics.
