Seasonal fieldwork has started in Kazakhstan

The spring sowing campaign is gaining momentum in the southern regions of Kazakhstan. Grain and fodder crops have been sown on an area of more than 311,000 hectares in some southern regions, the press office of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reports.

In accordance with seasonal fieldwork plans, crops will be sown on 23.4 million hectares of agricultural land throughout the country. It is planned to expand the areas under cereals, vegetables, melons and gourds and grain crops.

413,000 tonnes of diesel fuel, the price of which is set from February to April, have been provided. To prevent fuel misuse, fuel will be supplied after creating a virtual warehouse in the e-invoice system and assigning a PIN code for the amount of agricultural diesel fuel to the refineries.

The Government intends to earmark 140 billion tenge to support 3,200 farmers. More than 4,100 farmers have submitted loan applications.

The Government will continue the practice of concluding forward purchases for agricultural products of the autumn harvest worth about 20 billion tenge.
