King Salman Foundation provides humanitarian aid to Tajik families

The King Salman Foundation of Saudi Arabia provided assistance to 320 families residing in the villages in Sughd Region hit by the earthquake on March 23-24 this year. This assistance was provided in the framework of the project implemented jointly with the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defence under the Cabinet of Ministers of Tajikistan, the press office of the Committee reported to CentralAsia.news.

The residents of the villages of Paldorak, Yarm, Pakshif, Dehmanora, Dashti miyona, Rog, Khudjif and Samjani in Langar rural jamoat of Gorno-Matcha district received heating stoves, coal and blankets. The Foundation also provided assistance to 50 households affected by natural disasters.

The project title is Provision of humanitarian assistance to natural disaster survivors in the Republic of Tajikistan in 2023.

In February, the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defence of Tajikistan and the King Salman Foundation agreed to provide $1.5 million in humanitarian aid to the population of Tajikistan affected by natural disasters this winter.
