The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), in partnership with the Centre for Combating Human Trafficking under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan held a Dialogue Platform on Counteracting Trafficking in Persons in Dushanbe. The participants discussed the ongoing and further efforts of Tajikistan to address this issue, the press office of the OSCE reported to CentralAsia.news.
12 key members of the Interagency Commission on combating human trafficking from the government agencies, civil society organisations and international organisations attended the event.
They discussed the implementation of the national action plan and the strengthening of the state mechanism to combat human trafficking and protect human trafficking victims. Recommendations and proposals for building up cooperation in these areas were provided.
The OSCE experts presented a new edition of the toolkit to combat trafficking in persons and shared best international practices in identifying and protecting trafficked children.
