On March 29, Chairman of the Board of Amonatbank SB SUE Sirojiddin Ikromi held talks with Director, Business & Relationship Management at Fitch Ratings Kathleen Plunkett on the sidelines of the Tajikistan-UK investment forum. The interlocutors discussed the financial performance of the Tajik bank and the possibilities of assigning an international credit rating, the press office of the Amonatbank Savings Bank reported to CentralAsia.news.
The Tajik side reported on the financial performance and achievements of the Bank in 2022, expressing its readiness to receive an international credit rating.
After reviewing the information provided, Plunkett said a Fitch Ratings working group would visit Tajikistan in the near future and hold joint events to assign an international credit rating to the Tajik bank.
Following the fruitful bilateral talks, the parties agreed to start preparatory work and set up an ad-hoc working group on this issue.
