Kyrgyzstan and Russia sign agreement on construction of 9 Russian-language schools

The Kyrgyzstan-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation held its 24th meeting in Bishkek. The participants signed the documents, including an agreement on the construction of 9 Russian-language schools in the Republic, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov noted that the signing of the agreement is a historic event. The Russian Federation will fund the construction of these educational institutions. The project will be launched this year.

The Chairman of the Government of Kyrgyzstan expressed belief that the new schools would become a new home for little citizens of the Republic and make an important contribution to promoting the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan.

Each educational institution is designed for 1,200 children. School-leavers will receive Russian and Kyrgyz certificates. The first school will open in 2025.
