On March 13, First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar held talks with President of the World Road Association (PIARC) Nazir Alli and Deputy Secretary General of the World Road Association Robin Sebille. The parties discussed the participation of Kazakhstan in the World Road Congress, scheduled to take place in Prague in October this year, the press office of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The Kazakh side briefed the guests on the development of roads and transport and the upcoming plans of cooperation with the Association.

Nazir Alli emphasised that Kazakhstan’s accession to PRIARC will provide access to modern technical developments and industry documentation related to roads, engineering facilities and traffic, which are being developed by the Technical Committees involving over 1,200 international experts.

Following the bilateral meeting, the parties agreed to boost cooperation and set up the National Committee of the World Road Association in Kazakhstan.
