On March 1-2, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Azerbaijan at the invitation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, where he will take part in the Non-Aligned Movement Summit, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reports.
During his visit to Baku, the President of Uzbekistan will meet with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to discuss priority issues of bilateral cooperation under existing agreements. The agenda will cover the prospects for ensuring coordinated responses to the economic impacts of the pandemic, as well as cooperation on regional and international security.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in the plenary session of the Non-Aligned Movement Summit.
The Non-Aligned Movement is one of the largest international forum of 120 member states. The main criteria for membership are the commitment to the policy of non-alignment with any military-political blocs and alliances and cooperation built on the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations.
