Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Khokim Kholikzoda and Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Taleh Kazimov held talks in Dushanbe. The interlocutors discussed new prospects of cooperation in the banking sector, the press office of the National Bank of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
Kazimov said the Central Bank of Azerbaijan is ready to exchange experience with Tajikistan as part of the implementation of its strategies for improving economic competitiveness, developing digital financial services and supporting entrepreneurship.
The interlocutors informed each other about the achievements of the main financial institutions of the two countries in 2022, noting that they demonstrated positive results last year, despite external factors.
Khokim Kholikzoda and Taleh Kazimov expressed readiness to sign a draft memorandum of cooperation between the National Bank of Tajikistan and the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
